Training

We had our first chance to do some training tonight for the coffee ministry. About half our crew came and saw first hand the equipment, methods and locations of the carts. It is beginning to sink in that this is going to be a big deal. There will be lots of coffee served to lots of people.

People. That is the key word in this. People are the whole reason we do any of this. It is why we build new buildings. It is why we get to the service 2 hours before it starts. It is why we carry gallons of coffee to the carts so people can have something to hold and hide behind while they build relationships with each other.

I am humbled when I think of the chance I get to serve. God called each of us to serve and I pray we all serve well. I am pleased to be connnected to each of you that decided to come and learn tonight and those that will come tomorrow night. If you did not make it to training but come and serve anyway then I am pleased again. We all have busy schedules and it is hard sometimes to focus on the important when the urgent is SCREAMING in your face. You all are to be told “Well done!”. I am sure you will be when the time is here.

It’s a Good Life.
