Blue Like Jazz – The movie is coming out FRIDAY!!!
Ok, I have been talking about this and I just want to share one more time before the movie actually hits the theaters. It is coming out Friday, April 13th and will be at several theaters around Atlanta. Tickets are here!! The fact that this movie even got made is a miracle in itself. I’ll share that story if you want to hear it because I’m a part of it and it has touched my life.
If you have not read the book that is ok. The movie is based on the book by Donald Miller but it is better in lots of ways. I know, that almost never happens but it’s true. This is a Christian story in a very non-Christian place called Reed College. Much of it was shot at Reed College and it tells the story of Donald as a Christian facing his doubts and fears of being a Christian in the real world. It is funny, thoughtful and doesn’t wrap up the whole Christian thing into a nice package in 90 minutes but instead shows you a picture much more like real life. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Susan and I have seen it at a pre-release party and we plan to see it again this weekend. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. Here is a clip and a trailer to check out and I hope you will get out and support this great work by coming to see it.
