Grateful
It is 11:23pm on 31 Dec 2012 and I am just reflecting on my last year. I have been blessed to read several books, meet many people and have lots of conversations.
I am exploring the idea of mentoring people out of poverty, helping folks find their first home or moving to a home that suits them better, making coffee at a great church and giving it away (along with my time and energy) to see relationships grow and conversations happen, seeing a struggling church move along the path of change and perhaps seeing a school rise up out of that change.
Lots of projects and dreams that I am grateful for.
My family has grown by one with Mike and Raechel getting married and my grandson Andrew is asleep in the front bedroom. Family is something to be grateful for.
Friends that I celebrated Christmas with and a marathon Monopoly game on the day after Christmas that may have revealed a bit too much of our family to Stephen’s guest Ashleigh. Lot so fun and laughs regardless. A good time and I am grateful.
2013 carries hope with it. More business than the last year, more friends, more time with them, time with family and some travels approach. I am excited about where we are going. There are problems to be sure but that is just a chance to grow and expand what we know how to deal with.
I pray that everyone who reads this finds some hope regardless of your circumstances. God is on His throne, my future is with Him but in the mean time I get to meet more folks and make new friends. Laugh more and share what I have. My time, energy and blessings.
I found a great song that makes me smile. It’s from Gungor and I heard it at Catalyst in October. Check it out.
I have another one that I got from a KW event in Austin, TX. I shared it before and just want to share it again. It’s by Paul Thorn and it’s called Better Days Ahead.
Have a great NEW YEAR in 2013 and when you feel like you have a mountain to move focus on the One that moves mountains. God Bless.
Thanks for listening,
Jerry Robertson
