Hiding Easter Eggs
I am a dad. As a dad it gave me great pleasure to hide Easter Eggs. Well, hiding them was not the best part but watching my boys find them was. The excitement was palpable. It is like that at Christmas with presents, birthdays with cakes and candles and lots of times with just gifts I know they would like.
I’m watching SG-U on Netflix and it occurred to me that the universe is a big place and there are lots of surprises out there. I believe that God created this stuff and while I am not so conceited to think He created it for me I do think He takes pleasure when we ‘discover’ something He made. Maybe that’s the whole purpose for all the stuff we see. To discover it.
We are created in His image and I am reading a book about that and contemplating what that means exactly. Not too deep yet but I am getting ready for a vacation so that might give me some time to get deeper. I am looking forward to it. Stay tuned. This might be good <grin>.
