I hear that a lot. There are lots of agents getting out of the business. There are lots more still on the books that are not selling anything. Effectively they are out of the business too. My big question for them is ‘Why?’ We have been through the toughest real estate market ever in this country. The toughest and signs tell me we are beginning to see the turn around and if you have lasted this long why would you get out now but they are.
So what??
Well, I’ll tell you so what. This could be the best time ever to be an agent. The hurdles are there in getting a license and getting your business up and running but if you are not afraid of work and like to meet and talk to people I think this is a great business. My company is Keller Williams and we are poised to be No. 1 soon. No. 1 in the world. We are an international company and expect to surpass our competition this year and be No. 1 in real estate.
If you have ever thought about getting into your own business and like the idea of real estate as a career then I would love to talk to you. There is a new pre-license class starting up in Duluth later in March and the cost is manageable. If you can budget $1000 you could be up and running in about 6 weeks with your own business. Not many other businesses can say that.
