Local Stats – not the market it was…
Just wanted to share some info that I find interesting. As a buyer or a seller, we all want to see a healthy market and I have to say we seem to be moving that way. I have lots more stats but for now here are some interesting points.
Gwinnett Co. over the last 24 months. See the pattern?? There are fewer houses on the market. A lot fewer.
This one shows how many are under contract. The trend here is up. A lot. That means higher demand. You can click on it for details.
This one shows the number of months of inventory we have. It is dropping dramatically.
Supply and demand work. It is a basic principle and it says we are coming back. I know some would raise the specter of the Shadow Inventory but go back to my article on that about a month ago. Real estate is a local story and our story is not what you see on the national news.
I will be sharing more but wanted to get something in front of you to chew on. The average price/sqft is up, the number of days-on-market is down, inventory has plummeted and buyers have flooded the marketplace!!
It is now the time to sell if you have been considering that at all. It is a sellers market!! Really.
