More than you can handle… Tuesday Night Tunes

I have heard it so many times I just believed it was true.

“God will not give you more than you can handle.”

Most of us have heard that and I just learned tonight that is so much bunk.

The real truth is that you will not get more than He can handle.

This was not the song I expected to be on the blog tonight. I was at a meeting this evening and we opened with this song and those words at the top.

I don’t have much to say about it except that it carries a great truth about Grace. Most of you know how I respond to the question “how are you?” I almost always say ‘better than I deserve!’. I love the thought because I don’t want what I deserve. I love grace and mercy much more.

If I respond with “Better than I deserve” I don’t have to lie and say ‘Fine!!’ when I’m not.

Hope you have a great day after you get this. It certainly made me feel more grateful than I felt earlier today.
