Tuesday Night Tunes – My guitar gently weeps. Redux.
OK, we got a taste of the ukulele last week and it was cool but I got to looking for a ‘real’ version of this George Harrison piece. I found Clapton and McCartney together doing this version of it. Ringo is in there too along with some other great artists.
Check it out.
I remember going to see Clapton a while back in the Gwinnett Arena. I was the guest of a good friend, Rob and his company and they did it right. We were in the box on the top level and enjoying some good food and maybe an adult beverage or two. Waiting for Clapton to start was almost electric. The warm up was over and he came out and got started. As we got into our seats I detected the distinctive aroma of cannabis coming up from the floor. I got out of my seat, walked around to my host and grabbed him by the shoulders and said with a big smile “You guys are AWESOME!! Where’s the pot??!!”. I thought he was going to bust a gut. I was a great concert and a great time with friends.
I am really enjoying this little adventure into music and the research for Tuesday Night Tunes. I found the new Google/music all access site and am giving it a try. It is a direct competitor to Spotify and I am not sure yet they have all the features of that one but it is pretty good so far. They are free for 30 days so I am checking it out. I think if you sign up before the end of June the cost will be about $8 a month for unlimited streaming and being able to save music to your library. Not a bad deal when you don’t know for sure what you’re looking for.
Share and enjoy!!
One more thing, if you found this on Facebook, Linkedin or Twitter, you are probably missing some of the articles. Subscribe over to the right and you’ll not miss a thing. I send out update emails on Wednesday so subscribe and stay in the loop.
