The year ahead – do you want to know what is going to happen??
Me too!!! I don’t know for sure but I can tell you a few things.
1. It is busy right now. I have more listings than ever before and lots of buyer activity so take heart, the real estate market did not crash as predicted by the talking heads.
2. Interest rates are the lowest they have been since 2004 and are hovering around 6% if you have decent credit.
3. Our job market it stable and growing. This brings in more people and they all need places to live. The prediction is 2-3 million more residents in the next 20 years and they will probably want to live indoors. There are not enough homes to satisfy this need so that means a growing housing market, higher prices and growth for the local economy.
4. The OFHEO Home Price Index shows the average home in Georgia worth 3.54% more than this time last year.
