Tuesday Night Tunes – Darryl Purpose – Next Time Around

Social media is amazing. I got a new follow from Darryl on Twitter this week and I decided to check him out. See if you like this one.

I like the visuals on this almost as much as I like his voice and music. I was checking out some of his other music and found names I know like Carrie Elkin, Eliza Gilkyson mentioned as singers he works with. I first heard Carrie at The Bowman House Concert Series in Lawrenceville and I know Eliza has been there too.

As I listened to Darryl I found my mind wandering to tunes by James Taylor. He has the voice and sets that mood for me. I found him also described as having the brains of Bob Dylan and the soul of Willie Nelson. Check the the rest of his info from Wikipedia. I also found a listing for him at NoiseTrade. As I sit here working on this blog, I’m listening to his music and getting to know him a bit more.

It’s been a while since my last concert here at RealtyCaffeine House Concert Series but I’m starting to get the bug again. Who knows, maybe I could get Darryl to come grace our home. I’m looking at doing something in October or November so if there is someone you know and can put your name to, please connect us. I love finding new music and gathering to listen.

Stay tuned for some other events as well. I’m looking into a more intimate environment with smaller groups for dinner and music. We’ll probably limit the size to 8 folks and it would be a shorter set but I think it will be a great time. If you’re interested in more info on that just text or call me.
