Tuesday Night Tunes – Kaki King
I love NoiseTrade. It is one of the coolest things to get music delivered to me that I absolutely love. You have to check this out. I found this on YouTube and while the mic they have set up is lacking in quality the guitar pickup works pretty well.
This is from her Bio on NoiseTrade….
Hailed by Rolling Stone as “a genre unto herself,” composer and guitarist Kaki King is a true iconoclast, releasing six extraordinarily diverse and distinctive albums over the past 10 years. Everybody Loves You, released in 2003, was the album that started it all, hailed as “the most auspicious, tender, and tough instrumental debut by any guitarist in a decade at least… poetic and raggedly graceful, it is a treasure of individuality and idiosyncratic virtuosity, visceral truth, and verve.” (Thom Jurek, Allmusic.com). This package also includes “The Old Crow and the Miner’s Daughter”, originally released as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Everybody Loves You, and which is now available as part of Everybody Glows: B-Sides & Rarities, a collection of outtakes, demos, covers, live versions and never before heard recordings that was released on November 4, 2014.

I am going to check her schedule and see when she is in Atlanta. Would love to see her live!! Hope you enjoy it too.
Thanks for listening,
