Friday Follow up – a recap of the week

Neo Blythe "Ice Rune" Patricia Carvalho via Compfight

It’s been a good week. Lots of ups and downs but that is the way life is. We have successfully helped people get out of a house that was no longer needed and one that was just way too big for the owners new phase of life and we also found a another one that was just right. No her name is not Goldilocks.

I am still looking for that special house for a friend who needs to find one in the Lawrenceville 30043 area under about $130K. Has to be master on the main and a level yard. If you know someone thinking about moving please, please, please call me. 678-231-1578. We’re running out of time!!

Inventory is still about a half to a third of what we would like it to be in Gwinnett County. Average days on market is just under 80 and we are getting over 99% or more of the list price at closing. It is still a strong sellers market so now is the right time to get out there if you’re ready to move.

We sold 4178 houses in the last 6 months just in Gwinnett County. In the last 6 months only 135 of the new listings were foreclosures (according to Fannie Mae reports). Keep in mind that about 40% of all foreclosures are sold to investors at the courthouse steps and never make it to the MLS, so that number is somewhat smaller than the total.

Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday at 2am so don’t forget to set your clock back when you go to bed on Saturday or you’ll be really early for church. Speaking of church, 12Stone starts a new series tomorrow and there is a big announcement coming about our Christmas Initiative. Check it out. Ought to be fun!

There will also be a partial solar eclipse starting about 6:30am and will last about 45 minutes. Be careful not to look directly at it though. Be safe.

There is a new Galaxy Nexus phone coming out (Nexus 5) and I am about ready for a new one. My old one is really a lot slower than it used to be. Not sure I’m going to upgrade but I’m thinking about it.

If you have anything to share please comment below and let us know what happened to you that was a good thing.
